Exclusive SXSW Clip: Lukas Haas Has A Gift For Madeline Zima In 'Crazy Eyes'

Things are rolling and underway in Austin as the SXSW Film Festival kicks off. Cinephiles, press and everyone else are faced with a plethora of films over the next week, all hoping to snag their attention, and director Adam Sherman will be in town with his sophomore effort "Crazy Eyes."

Starring Lukas Haas, Madeline Zima and Jake Busey, the film centers on Zach (Haas), a young man with too much money and too much time on his hands, who lives an endless cycle of beauitful women and hanging in his posh home and hip clubs. He's a divorcée with a five-year-old son, who has become adept at keeping people at a distance, but all that’s about to change with Crazy Eyes (Zima). Flirty, intelligent and damaged, she’s the one woman Zach can’t have, so naturally he wants her above all others. As he persues this relationshiop, an ex-wife, a hard partying pal and the illness of his father all come into play as Zach slowly faces the hard decisions of being adult.

This exclusive clip is a nice preview of the film, which seems to deliver a balance between drama, humor and sly character observation. "Crazy Eyes" premieres at SXSW on Sunday, March 11th at 9:15 PM at the Alamo Ritz 1. Watch below.
