He may have left his heart in San Francisco, but for the legendary Tony Bennett, fame, fortune, respect and an impressive career that has spanned over six decades has followed him. At the age of 86, Bennett is still going strong, but he's taken a brief break from his busy schedule and allowed himself to be front and center in "The Zen of Bennett," a new documentary that allows the crooner to talk about his journey in his own words.

Zen Of Bennett

He may have left his heart in San Francisco, but for the legendary Tony Bennett, fame, fortune, respect and an impressive career that has spanned over six decades has followed him. At the age of 86, Bennett is still going strong, but he's taken a brief break from his busy schedule and allowed himself to be front and center in "The Zen of Bennett," a new documentary that allows the crooner to talk about his journey in his own words.

Directed by Unjoo Moon and lensed by the Academy Award-winning cinematographer Dion Beebe ("Memoirs of a Geisha"), the film is both an intimate and stylistic look at Bennett's life, narrated by the man himself, that finds him discussing numerous topics including music, art and the lessons he's learned along the way. In this exclusive clip from the film, Bennett lays bare about "the butterflies that you make you famous" when it comes to performing, all against Beebe's impressionistic backdrop which adds another texture to the tale.

"The Zen of Bennett" opens in New York City at the IFC Center on October 24th, with Tony Bennett himself introducing the film at the 7 and 9 PM shows opening night (tickets here).  The picture will expand further around the country starting on November 2nd. Watch below.
