Even as someone who grew up on bank holiday viewings of the series, it's sometimes hard to get truly enthusiastic about the release of a new Bond movie. We'll always go and see a new 007 adventure, but the longevity of the series, and the relatively formulaic nature of it, means that it's something we've come to take for granted, not least because for every great installment like a "Goldeneye" or a "Casino Royale," there's a "Die Another Day" or "Quantum Of Solace" right behind it to kill the mood.

Well, that was inevitable. Not even 007 himself could stop Adele's "Skyfall" from leaking early (it's officially set for a premiere at 7:07 p.m. EST tonight or 0:07 am in the U.K. -- you get the connection, right?) and now that it's arrived via a rogue French radio station (sacre bleu!), it confirms that it's as strong as we had hoped.

Among the many things that make the James Bond franchise unique -- the sheer longevity, the way it's only become more prestigious and successful as it goes on, its ability to survive actor changeovers -- is the music. Not just the unforgettable theme by Monty Norman and the great scores by John Barry, but the way that every film since the second installment, "From Russia With Love," has featured a theme song over the abstracted, dancing-naked-lady-filled opening credits.

When it comes to 007, there is no marketing opportunity too big or too small to get the word out about "Skyfall." And thus, over the weekend during the Emmy Awards, MGM and Sony made sure whoever was tuned in caught a glimpse of the new film as they unveiled a new 30 second spot for the picture. And a few more images have cropped up as well.
