How much do you want to see "Men in Black III"? Well, if you're anything like this writer then the answer would be "not a lot." How much do you want to see "Skyfall" though? If you're anything like this writer then the answer to that question would be "a hell of a lot." Well it looks like the black suits behind the scenes of 'MIBIII' are hoping you'll be more likely to turn up to see their movie if they stick the first trailer for 007's latest outing onto the big screen alongside Will Smith's latest cash cow.

Well, it's better than those teasers for trailers, and while it's not much more than an EPK, at the very least these new videoblogs from Sam Mendes' upcoming Bond film "Skyfall" do give us a reward for the watch.

Well, at least it's better than those absolutely ridiculous one second clips before the first teaser for "The Hunger Games" landed. The practice of releasing scraps of trailers before the full trailer arrives is becoming increasingly irritating and silly, but alas, here we are and in case you just can't wait until next Saturday when the new trailer for "Prometheus" will arrive, here's 20 seconds of stuff. We'll leave it to the nerdier sites to deconstruct or whatever, but don't get too excited. However, in case you're wondering, in these brief seconds you'll see Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba. Hooray. "Prometheus" arrives on June 8th and was recently announced as being given an IMAX upgrade as well.

Bond is back. Again. With the MGM financial situation sorted, production on the 23rd official film to feature Ian Fleming's super spy, and the third to star Daniel Craig in the role, got underway late last year, but as ever the security around "Skyfall" has been airtight. We know the cast, which sees Craig joined by Javier Bardem as the villain, Ben Whishaw as gadget-master Q, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe and Helen McCrory, and we know a vague logline, which suggests that the plot revolves around Judi Dench's M, but not a lot besides.

Even given the excitement around the reboot of "Casino Royale" a few years back, we can't remember the last time a James Bond film was quite as keenly anticipated as this year's 23rd installment in the franchise, "Skyfall." Not only does it mark the third time that Daniel Craig has played MI6's finest secret agent -- a somewhat belated return, after the movie was held up for over a year due to MGM's financial problems -- but thanks to the presence of Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes, and Oscar-nominated scribe John Logan ("Hugo"), the bar has been raised in terms of the pedigree of the series.

Screw in your eyeballs folks. While the end of 2011 meant lots of best-of-the-year lists, 2012 ushers in "most anticipated" rundowns (including our own) and over at USA Today, they've dropped a dozen movies they've highlighted on their calendar along with a few new stills to go with it. So let's get started.

Admittedly, Team Playlist is an oddball collection of cinephiles, snobs and genre-dorks, sometimes only unified by one thing: a healthy dose of skepticism in a world largely occupied by wishful-thinking fanboys. But this diversity means that we can be at once cynical optimists and optimistic cynics.

Well, he had a good run but longtime James Bond composer David Arnold, who has scored every 007 outing since 1997's "Tomorrow Never Dies," is being switched out for this year's "Skyfall," according to James Bond news site MI-6. Director Sam Mendes has swapped him for his longtime collaborator Thomas Newman, who has scored all of Mendes' films except 2009's regrettable "Away We Go."

There's no doubt about it, Daniel Craig is one of the best actors to have ever worn the 007 mantle. And as the lead in the "Casino Royale," an entry which in many ways revitalized the franchise and brought it kicking and screaming into the 21st century, Craig gave us the grittiest take we'd seen on the world famous spy yet. That was followed up quickly with "Quantum of Solace" two years later, and to put it kindly, it was a much lesser effort.
