NBC has been pushing hard to make a big hit out of their musical drama "Smash." A soundtrack of the tunes from the show is on the way, it has already been renewed for a second season, and as the first season winds down, a pretty big star has been enlisted to help sweep in ratings.

Uma Thurman will feature in a five episode arc on the show as Rebecca Duvall who portrays the plum lead role of Marilyn Monroe in the big Broadway show at the heart of "Smash." In case you haven't been watching, this adult version of "Glee" (essentially), stars Katherine McPhee and Megan Hilty in a series that chronicles the production of a stage show based on the life of Marilyn Monroe. THR has the first look at Thurman as Monroe, and, well....Michelle Williams has nothing to worry about. She doesn't really look like Monroe at all except for the wig, but the real question is: can she sing?

And apparently that answer is: yes. Thurman worked with Tony-award-winner Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman to get her pipes in shape, and apparently she does the job justice. She'll be singing "Big Deep," an original song penned for the show in an episode that pays homage to "My Heart Belongs To Daddy," the tune Monroe sung in "Let's Make Love." Find out how Thurman sounds for yourself and watch "Smash" Mondays at 10 PM.
