We know you're still recovering and catching up with the slew of great movies that came our way in 2013, but in just a few short days 2014 will be here, and across those 12 months will be even more films to get excited about. And right near the top of that list will undoubtedly be David Fincher's "Gone Girl."
20th Century Fox has closed off Christmas Week by releasing the first official still from the upcoming thriller. Ben Affleck leads the flick, based on Gillian Flynn's best-selling novel, playing Nick Dunne, who moves back home to Carthage, Missouri, to open a bar only to become the prime suspect when his wife goes missing on their fifth wedding anniversary. Production on this one has already drawn attention, with Fincher utilizing the new 6K Red Dragon digital camera and keeping up his process of numerous takes, averaging 50 per scene.
Co-starring Rosamund Pike, Kim Dickens, Patrick Fugit, Carrie Coon, Tyler Perry, Neil Patrick Harris and Emily Ratajkowski, "Gone Girl" opens on October 3, 2014.
