The reclusive director is producing "The Better Angels," the directorial debut of his protégé and collaborator A.J. Edwards. Jason Clarke, Diane Kruger, Brit Marling and Wes Bentley star in this evidently black-and-white film about the early years of Abraham Lincoln, with Kruger and Clarke as his parents.
