New Photos Of Johnny Depp & Armie Hammer In 'The Lone Ranger'

After nearly 150 shooting days, marked by delays due to dust and wind storms, and reported budget overruns, "The Lone Ranger" starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer has now wrapped filming. And now the editing process will begin as Gore Verbinski preps the movie for a summer release next year, but Disney is giving everyone a sneak peek today with a batch of new photos from TV show turned blockbuster.

While some have wondered what the tone of the picture will be, Verbinski's description of the movie conjures up, of all things, "Midnight Run." "It's a dysfunctional buddy movie," he says. "It's two guys who start literally and figuratively handcuffed together who end up on the same mission with completely different world views. They sort of rub off on one another. But they have plenty of disagreements."

As you'll see, Depp has once again emerged from the costume department looking his usual eccentric self, but don't expect another reprise of his famous "Pirates Of The Caribbean" character. "I'm a long way from Jack Sparrow," Depp says, while Verbinski adds that Tonto "is an odd-shaman, an outcast from his own tribe, who has created his own mystical world."

Certainly looking epic in scope, "The Lone Ranger" arrives on July 3, 2013. [THR/USA Today]

Yes, it looks good, but I bet they kill it with about dozens of unnecessary plot twits and pointless characters.

With the painstaking effort that's gone into just these photos, this has got to be a great film. 1st trailer to show on Leno Oct 2.

Actually, Kevin, The Lone Ranger is a RADIO show turned TV show turned blockbuster (with a couple of side trips to movie serials and an ill-fated feature film).
You were aware of that, right?

Looks great. .but another things: I hope Depp stops getting tattoo, he destroy entire of his skin. thatâs ugly . I have terrible fright he want to get tattoo on his neck and face, he is an actor not hip hop singer .I hope he wants play as father without tattoo and donât cover his skin with coal( like pirate 4) . He is white man and black stain on his skin sounds bad .he should remove some of them. Tattoo of his mother and childrenâs name are nice but others I donât think so.
