10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesFirst up, two of our favorite Pauls -- namely Rudd and Giamatti -- have teamed for the long awaited new feature from "Junebug" helmer Phil Morrison (indeed, at one time he featured on our list of absent directors). Formerly titled "Lucky Dog," the film co-stars Sally Hawkins and centers on two rival French-Canadian conmen who pair up on a get-rich-quick scheme to sell Christmas trees in New York. Uh, yes, that sounds awesome. But really, you had us at Rudd and Giamatti.
Meanwhile, on the next page, you'll find new snaps from Scott Coffey's "Adult World." Starring Emma Roberts, John Cusack, Evan Peters ("American Horror Story"), Shannon Woodward ("Raising Hope"), Cloris Leachman and John Cullum, the satirical coming-of-age comedy centers on college grad Amy Anderson (Roberts). Convinced she is the next star in the literary world, she moves back with her parents to write poetry and find her place in the world. Very soon -- saddled with a stack of rejection letters, unpaid student loans, and no money -- she decides to find a job in the real world, and finds work at an adult bookstore titled, appropriately, Adult World.
More to come in the days and weeks leading up to Tribeca. The fest runs from April 17-28.
