While Daniel Day-Lewis is rightfully earning the most attention around "Lincoln" as he portrays the iconic President in Steven Spielberg's film, it's easy to forget that the picture is rounded out by a supporting cast of top-shelf actors. And now a fresh batch of new pics gives them a bit of shine.
This is who you're looking at along with what they're playing: Jackie Earle Haley portrays Alexander Stephens, the Vice-President of the Confederate States of America; James Spader portrays W. N. Bilbo (his is a particularly nice turn), a Tennessee lawyer and lobbyist; Lee Pace portrays Democratic representative Fernando Woods; and Hal Holbrook portrays Preston Blair, the founder of the new Republican Party.
And besides those names above, the movie also features Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, John Hawkes, Jared Harris, David Strathairn, David Oyelowo and many, many more. The buzz is building and "Lincoln" gets sworn in nationwide on November 16th.
