Life Dane DeHaan Robert Pattinson

Here's some good news. While Anton Corbijn has generally taken his time between films—three years passed between "Control" and "The American," and it was four more until the forthcoming "A Most Wanted Man"—the filmmaker is already onto his next gig, currently in the midst of production in Canada on "Life" starring Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan. And yes, that's the first look at the pair above.

The film tells the story of the relationship between renowned Magnum photographer Dennis Stock (Pattinson) and Hollywood legend James Dean (DeHaan), chronicling a road trip the pair took which forever changed Stock's life. And Corbijn is excited about the project, and collaborating with these actors: "When I see Rob I see an inner turmoil that is great for the role," Corbijn told EW (print edition, not online). "And Dane is really interesting. He has a beautiful face, but it's a face to grasp. It's hard to see how Dane reads [onscreen] sometimes, and the same goes for James Dean."

No release dates yet for this one, but one wonders if the quickly moving Corbijn could have it done in time for the fall festival circuit.

A lotta hype for this LIFE movie that isn't yet contracted/established for a U.S. distribution/showing on the silver screen.

I love this picture of Rob and Dane. I wish people would stop knocking Rob for every move he makes. He is not with Cronenbergs daughter. She is a married woman. Stop trying to make him look bad. I get the impression that the negative stuff comes from Rob's ex girlfriends fans. Its getting boring. For me, as a Rob fan I am very anxious to see Rob in a movie. It has been a long time since Cosmopolis debuted. I liked that movie and I really wa t to a new movie featuring To.

I'm a fan of both Rob and Kristen and as such I wish everyone would start looking at the individually and stop making everything the other does about their past or their future relationship. Rob and Kristen are bot very talented actors and it's time they be looked at such. I love Twilight and I love them as a couple but they both deserve to go on with their lives and be allowed to move on from the past. LET THEM... Dela...

You have to be joking...the photographer was Cronenbergs daughter, the one RPatz had a fling with while filming Cosmopolis? No wonder Stew threw him out. The rumors a few days ago were true then. He has connected with her again. I'm so disappointed in him. He was never faithful in that relationship and was a genius at keeping it a secret . Talk about cheaters.....what do you call this? He is scum.

Typical KStew fan, petty, bitter, and jealous. Too bad they're always looking for someone to blame for her own poor life choices. Rob was never the cheater, he knew how to remain faithful. She was too immature to maintain an adult relationship, and he's so much better off without her toxic influence on his life or films. "Dignity" like fidelity, is a word that doesn’t exist in her selfish little brain.

Caitlin was with her fiance during the filming of Cosmopolis and she got married five weeks later. If you're going to slag Rob off, at least get your facts right.

Please don't tell me the likes of you have infiltrated indiewire, now. Please stay on topic. I was hoping for intelligent discussion. Your shallowness and one-mindedness is laughable.

We're here on a movie site to talk about the first still of the film "Life". Will you please keep your accusations where they belong? In your insane phantasy.
This still, together with all the pics we've seen thus far from the shooting, makes me eagerly looking forward to this movie.

Seriously? Is it your lame excuse for Stewart's cheating with a married man who has 2 kids? Do you realize that if Robert was never faithful, that would make Kristen a door mat for staying with him for 4 years? She should have broken up with him like any normal person would do if she wasn't happy, instead she cheated. And it's not enough for you to drag Robert through the mud, you have to include Caitlin Cronenberg. Do you know that she was engaged at the time when Robert met her on a set of Cosmopolis? She is married now. You think everyone is stupid but you. Step away from monitor and stop spreading lies, do something useful with you life.
Anyway, I hate to spend another minute on trolls like you. I want to say how cool it is to see a first official still. Both guys look incredible in their respective roles and I can't wait for the end result. The story of James Dean is a main attraction for this movie but I am curious to learn more about the person behind the lens. I know nothing about Stock except the fact he was a great photographer who left us with a crop of amazing images of Hollywood stars of his time. Audrey Hepburn, James Dean just to name a few.

Typical delusion from a Kstew fan. A thinly veiled attempt to deflect from her idol's poor decisions. Can't accept that Kstew made an selfish immature choice. It must be someone else's fault. Every girl seen with Pattinson is a 'former fling' who was the 'cause' of Stewart's 'mistake'. I give Kstew credit though. She took responsibility. Too bad her fans can't.

Rob never had a fling with Caitlin Cronenberg. And now she is married. Caitlin got this gig because she is a great photographer and Corbijn as a former photographer recognizes talent when he sees it.

And this picture is taken by a great photographer Caitlin Cronenberg:) Nice write up,thanks.

Nice visual. Typical of Corbijn. Not that familiar with Stock beyond the photos. Looking forward to what DeHaan does with Dean.
