Well, the folks over at Rihanna Daily have nabbed a frame and it looks like the "Pon De Replay" singer is going to turn into a remorseless killing machine and/or the sexiest Navy member ever. Either way, we're still not sold on Rihanna here but in a movie based on a board game, the performance of the singer will be the least of our worries in terms of suspension of belief. "Battleship" opens on May 12, 2012.

Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson is getting into the swing of things on "G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation." The actor hit Twitter to send out a photo as he trains up with the tease: "Found my gun today! M249 SAW. Guess who/what I envision in my crosshairs?" Probably the villain Firefly, played by Ray Stevenson, we're guessing. Frankly, Johnson and Stevenson are the only two reasons we marginally care about this sequel and kind of wish the movie just starred those two. But alas, Channing Tatum, Lee Byung-hun, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Elodie Yung, RZA and D.J. Cotrona will be along for the ride in the Jon Chu-directed film which lands on June 29, 2012.

She looks incredible! This movie just went from horrendous idea with pathetic trailer to the best idea ever! OMG. Beautiful. Amazing. Go Rihanna. Become the Superstar you are meant to be!
If GI Joe must happen and if Dwayne must appear in it, can't Channing Tatum be pushed off a convenient cliff? It would make enduring the movie 10% more bearable.

Ok, so did you all notice how she was conspicuously absent from the trailer? Well, judging from the dailies I saw when in Baton Rouge during our stage work, it became painfully obvious that she should not act. But rumors from my friends in post...Brooklyn Decker might actually make her look good!

Rihanna appears to be as dumbstruck that they actually turned Battleship into a film as the rest of us.
