A storm is coming. We’ve known this day would come for a couple of years now and have been bracing ourselves ever since. Darren Aronofsky’s “Noah” finally makes its way to theaters worldwide on March 28th, and if there’s already some controversy surrounding the director’s interpretation of the Biblical story, you know those dissenters will only get louder in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, if you’re a big fan of the director then you most likely can’t wait to hear the soundtrack from frequent collaborator Clint Mansell. The composer has worked on all six of Aronofsky’s films thus far and this time he’s received the help of the Kronos Quartet with his score. Thanks to Nonesuch Records, you can get your hands on the soundtrack on March 25th, three days before the movie comes out. Also included on the soundtrack is an original song from Patti Smith called “Mercy Is.” Darren Aronofsky first revealed Patti Smith’s contribution on his twitter last month.

Lastly, a brand new IMAX poster has been unleashed for the film which predominantly features Russell Crowe and his beard. The movie will only be in IMAX theaters for one week so you better buy those tickets while you still have the chance. You can check out the poster, the soundtrack details, and four new “Noah” TV spots just below. [Film Music Reporter]
