Get Your Thirst On This Summer, Dudes! 'Dark Knight Rises' Partners With Mountain Dew, 'Prometheus' With Coors

You know when you've had a long-ass day terraforming somewhere in the Zeta2 Reticuli system? You've had facehugger jackasses making your day a grind, and then there's these space jockeys who think they own the universe and make the job a horrific experience? Well, there's nothing like a nice cold one at the end of the day. And 20th Century Fox and Coors think the same thing.

Where will your thirst take you? Fox and Coors are hoping it will take you to Ridley Scott's new sci-fi horror film "Prometheus," but not literally, of course. We assume they don't want you to shotgun a sixer of Coors and get in a car and go to the movie, mind you. That would be the wrong message of this logical partnership, after all, we explained what Coors and "Prometheus" have to do with each other.

Now Warner Bros. is playing it a bit more safely: "The Dark Knight Rises" is PG-13 after all, not like "Prometheus" which is rated R. Either way, both companies have created some KICK-ASS images for their upcoming partnerships. Maybe we'll see Elizabeth Shaw cracking a cold one? Maybe Bruce Wayne might need to do the Dew before Bane and his Ra's al Ghul pals make his life a shitty hell?

"Partnering with a visionary such as Ridley Scott presents a special opportunity for Coors Light to drive consumer and retailer enthusiasm for our new Silver Bullet Pint," said Dan Hennessy, senior director of marketing for the Coors Family of Brands. "It's clear 'Prometheus' is going to be the summer blockbuster movie of 2012, once again bringing Sir Ridley's unique story-telling skills to science fiction fans. We're thrilled to be part of the excitement surrounding this film and we can't fucking wait to get traaaaashed while watching it. Shit is gonna be awesome!"

Meanwhile, check out the badass Batman/Mountain Dew images below. If you're not terrified of Bats and need to suck down a Dew, then you're much braver than we are.
