Go To 'The Place Beyond The Pines' With 3 Character Posters Featuring Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper & Eva Mendes

We may not have gotten a lot of interesting films so far this year, but that will soon change. “The Place Beyond the Pines,” the hotly anticipated film from writer/director Derek Cianfrance, comes out in just a few weeks and some new images and character posters have been posted online to remind us.

Granted, the character posters are from France, but they would look cool in any language. Cianfrance’s follow-up to “Blue Valentine” reunites him with Ryan Gosling and he stars alongside Bradley Cooper and Eva Mendes. Gosling plays Luke, a motorcycle stunt rider who is willing to do anything in order to support his newborn son. A decision to turn to bank robbery leads him on a collision course with a police officer (Cooper).

The film not only boasts an interesting cast which includes Ray Liotta and Ben Mendelsohn, it was also shot by Sean Bobbitt, a frequent collaborator of Steve McQueen’s. It premiered at TIFF last year to enthusiastic reviews, including from one of our own. Be sure to catch “The Place Beyond the Pines” when it comes out March 29th. [AlloCine]
