'Gravity' Composer Steven Price Scoring David Ayer's 'Fury' Starring Brad Pitt Plus 30-Minute Interview With Price

While Steven Price might have seemed to come out of nowhere this fall with his teeth-rattling, nerve-fraying score for Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity", it's actually the culmination of years in the industry. He spent a long time as a music editor, working on productions like Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins," Peter Jackson's "The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers" and "The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King" before he got first chance to step up into the big leagues by composing the score for 2011's "Attack The Block." And while this year Price also scored Edgar Wright's "The World's End" (he had previously done additional music on "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World") he will forever be remembered for his stunning work on "Gravity." And it has clearly gotten him noticed in the right places.

Price's next gig will be composing the score for David Ayer's star-studded WWII flick "Fury." Featuring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal, the story that follows a five-man tank crew as they lock in battle against a desperate German army in the waning days of the war in April 1945. Oscar contender or thrill ride? We'd wager it might fall into the same camp as "Gravity" where (if Ayer pulls it off) it will be both.

"Fury" will be unleashed on November 12, 2014. Watch a lengthy, 30-minute interview with Price below. [Deadline]
