Gritty Poster & 4 New Images From 'Rust And Bone' Starring Marion Cotillard & Matthias Schoenaerts

Things are not looking good for Marion Cotillard. Set to lose a limb in "Rust And Bone," it seems even before that tragic mishap, she endures a bloody nose and lord knows what other emotional traumas in Jacques Audiard's promising "Rust And Bone." A new poster and a few more images have arrived in advance of the film's French release (courtesy of our pals at Cinema Teaser), and on top of the already stunning trailer, the movie is building up to be one of our most anticipated of the year.

Things are not looking good for Marion Cotillard. Set to lose a limb in "Rust And Bone," it seems even before that tragic mishap, she endures a bloody nose and lord knows what other emotional traumas in Jacques Audiard's promising "Rust And Bone." The next effort from director of "A Prophet," the film is adapted from the short stories by Canadian author Craig Davidson, and follows the relationship between a homeless man (Schoenaerts) and a trainer of killer whales in a sea park (Cotillard) who loses her legs in a horrific accident. Both actors look to have a formidable presence in the film which is promising to deliver another deeply dramatic punch. Needless to say, we're excited.

"Rust And Bone" opens in France on May 17th and the picture is widely expected to be announced as part of the Cannes Film Festival lineup on Thursday. Sony Pictures Classics will release the film later this year.
