Harrison Ford Has Been Talking 'Blade Runner 2' With Ridley Scott; Ben Kingsley Denies 'Star Wars' Rumors

As long as there has been talk about the developing "Blade Runner" sequel, Harrison Ford's name has been in the mix, even though it doesn't make much sense narratively. "I don't think it'll be Harrison [starring]. But I've got to have him in it somewhere. That'd be amusing," Ridley Scott said last year, and it seems he's not joking.

Doing the rounds for the upcoming "Ender's Game," IGN bravely broached the subject with the famously grumpy and taciturn actor, and that they got this much out of him is somewhat of a minor miracle. "We've been chatting about it," Ford admitted about the follow-up, acknowledging that whatever difficulties happened on set the last time around, the past is behind him.

"I remember it with complication, but I'm not there to generate nostalgic moments, I'm there to do a job of work. I quite understand that everybody has an ambition when they come and do a film, and everyone's ambition may not be focused on the same thing," he said. "I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director, and I would be very happy to engage with him again in the further telling of this story." So, basically, Ford is game.

Meanwhile, his "Ender's Game" co-star Ben Kingsley has been rumored for another franchise, "Star Wars," with word circulating in the past week from some fairly dodgy sources that he was up for a role in "Star Wars: Episode 7." And unsurprisingly, when speaking with Total Film, he shot them down in his own quirky way (watch below).

So, one up and one down, and much more to come from both brewing projects.
