Fargo

Is this the exception to the rule, that a TV spinoff from a movie could actually be good? We're really hoping so, because so far, we really like what we see from "Fargo," the forthcoming FX show based on the Coen Brothers wintry crime classic. And after a handful of teasers, the first bonafide trailer is here and it looks like it's hitting all the right buttons.

Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton, Allison Tolman, Colin Hanks, Oliver Platt, Adam Goldberg, Kate Walsh and more star in this one that will take viewers to Bemidji, Minnesota where a new, quirky crime needs to be solved. And the tone—and even the soundtrack—look like spot on, finding the vibe of the 1996 movie, but still feeling like its own thing. And the actors also seem to be riding the line between drama and absurdity quite well too, in what is shaping up as something quite promising.

"Fargo" arrives on April 15th. Watch below.

Hannibal is better than the last couple of films. Some say that Battlestar Galactica is good, I haven't seen it.
