Family past, present and future come together over one weekend in writer and director Brian Savelson's feature debut "In Our Nature." The result is a story that plays out with both humor and heartache as two generations try to forge a bond that has been frayed over the years between a father and his.

Starring John Slattery, Jena Malone, Gabrielle Union and Zach Gilford, the story follows a young couple, Seth and Andie (Gilford and Malone), who find their romantic interlude at his family's cabin interuppted when his dad Gil (Slattery) arrives with Vicky (Union), his new girlfriend in tow. What follows is a father and a son assessing themselves at this turning point, the women in their lives seeing a new side to them. In this exclusive clip, a playful scene is undercut by a candid revelation by Vicky that she's not willing to join up with another dysfunctional family.

We called it both "provocative" and "satisfying," and it's one we recommend you check out when it arrives in limited release on December 7th.
