10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesOn any other given day we might ignore "I Give It A Year," but the talent around it is just too good to overlook. Oh sure, there is the cast with Rose Byrne getting a rare comedic lead role, as she co-stars with Rafe Spall, Simon Baker, Stephen Merchant, Minnie Driver (delivering the best line of this new trailer) and Anna Faris. But the movie comes from "Borat" writer Dan Mazer, which hopefully means he's bringing a bit of heat to the genre for his directorial debut.
This new spot does indicate it's at least operating at a bit higher level than the usual fare we get passed to us these days as rom-coms, with some pretty sharp one liners littered throughout. And it looks like Merchant improv-ed his way through the whole thing.
"I Give It A Year" opens in the U.K. on February 8th, and it still doesn't have stateside distribution lined up, which should be remedied quickly by somebody. [Empire]

Funny thing is more and more American folks speak British accent in films hardly distributed in America.
