10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesIt was only a week ago that we listed it amongst our 5 Fall Festival Films That Still Need Distribution after playing at TIFF and in Venice (where we saw it and awarded it a lackluster C+ rating). Well, maybe someone over at IFC Films read that piece because they now look set to acquire the picture’s North American distribution rights. The film had already secured distribution in a number of key Western European countries (although notably not yet in the U.K.) but this should mean that U.S. audiences will be able to catch it at some point in the next twelve months at least.
So far the film seems to be selling itself on the sex angle – it’s all lipstick, lesbian kisses, masks and lingerie in the posters and images released so far – and we wouldn’t expect IFC to stray too far from that formula as they launch their own marketing campaign. There’s no news on a release date yet, but in the meantime there’s a pre-TIFF trailer that you can feast your eyes on. [THR]

Glad it got a distributor. Now I am waiting to see when To the Wonder will get one. It actually got better reviews than Passion did so I hope we hear something soon about Malick's film.

Based on the reviews I read....
If some poeple want to watch "Passion" for sex and nudity, they will be very disappointed.
