10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesCameron is set to direct and produce a feature adaptation of the novel "The Informationist" by Taylor Stevens. The story is the first in a series (franchise!) about Vanessa Michael Munroe, raised by gun runners and mercernaries, who has grown up into an "information dealer" for the wealthy. In this tale, she's tasked by a billionaire to find his daughter, and finds herself back in central Africa where she grew up. Here's the Amazon synopsis:
Vanessa “Michael” Munroe deals in information—expensive information—working for corporations, heads of state, private clients, and anyone else who can pay for her unique brand of expertise. Born to missionary parents in lawless central Africa, Munroe took up with an infamous gunrunner and his mercenary crew when she was just fourteen. As his protégé, she earned the respect of the jungle's most dangerous men, cultivating her own reputation for years until something sent her running. After almost a decade building a new life and lucrative career from her home base in Dallas, she's never looked back.
Until now.
A Texas oil billionaire has hired her to find his daughter who vanished in Africa four years ago. It’s not her usual line of work, but she can’t resist the challenge. Pulled deep into the mystery of the missing girl, Munroe finds herself back in the lands of her childhood, betrayed, cut off from civilization, and left for dead. If she has any hope of escaping the jungle and the demons that drive her, she must come face-to-face with the past that she’s tried for so long to forget.
Gripping, ingenious, and impeccably paced, The Informationist marks the arrival or a thrilling new talent.
This is all early days, a writer is being sought to get a script written but the current plan is to shoot "Avatar 2" and "Avatar 3" back to back, before he gets to this. But what about "Battle Angel"? Looks like fans waiting for that will have to keep waiting.... [THR]

The Informationist? Really? Who comes up with a title like that and thinks it's a good idea?

Maybe James Cameron should stop talkling and start making his Avatar pictures. That would be a nice change.

Sorry but Fuck James Cameron. I have to say it too. He is a selfish and disrespectful filmmaker. He refuses to produce anyone and we know his last two movies have generated more than $4 billions, this is the exact definition of selfishness.
"[...] Iâm in the 'Avatar' business. Period.[...]" He could show a bit of passion or I don't know but calling it "a business" sounds just a bit irritating.
What is there to say except that it doesn't take anything away of his talent.

I hope this goes ahead and he stops wasting his talent on Avatar mediocrity.

Fuck James Cameron. I said it.
