As you may know by now, there’s there are some pretty big fans of NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” here at The Playlist, so please ignore us while we excitedly exclaim, “DAYUM Jerry, your WIFE is Christie Brinkley?” That’s Pawnee’s favorite person to pick on, Jerry Gergich (Jim O’Heir), and he has scored himself a pretty nice beau in the former model and Clark Griswold heartthrob Brinkley. EW reports that Jerry’s never-before-seen spouse Gayle, whom he’d apparently kill for a Klondike Bar, will finally be making an appearance – we suppose that explains Jerry’s beautiful daughter Millicent. The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model is certainly an odd pairing for Jerry, but then again, we did find out he was, um, packing below the waist a little while back, so we’ll wait and see. JERRY’S FAULT!

On a completely different note, Ian McShane will be joining the already packed cast of “American Horror Story: Asylum,” aka the show’s second season. While the first episode of the season will air next week, production is still well underway. Showrunner and creator Ryan Murphy announced the casting yesterday through his Twitter account, with very little details as to what McShane will exactly be doing on the island-based insane asylum, which is the new home for the upcoming season. The first five minutes of the second season hit the web yesterday thanks to the show’s Facebook page, so perhaps you can start getting a taste of what’s in store over there. As for the rest, ”American Horror Story: Asylum” premieres on Wednesday, October 17th at 10 p.m. ET on FX, so set your DVRs!
