Oh Jessica Chastain and Javier Bardem in the same movie, with the tantalizing title, "A Most Violent Year"? Sign us up. Do you really need to know more information?
Well too bad. We're not being jerks or anything but that's pretty much all there is to the movie at the moment, it's set to be directed by J.C. Chandor ("Margin Call," the well received, upcoming "All Is Lost" starring Robert Redford) and is otherwise being kept under wraps. One thing we do know is that Bardem will play a "good guy" in the movie, the script of which Chandor-penned himself. No official word on Chastain's role although this fan site says that the movie will follow "an ambitious businessman (Bardem) who is forced to deal with a corrupt establishment in 1980s New York." Hmm...following the finance world corruption of "Margin Call" this does seem up Chandor's alley but we'll have to wait and see.
And we'll likely find out soon enough as production is slated to get underway this fall in New York City. [Variety]
