10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesThe rising Joel Edgerton, who features in this month's "Zero Dark Thirty" and next summer's "The Great Gatsby," is now coming on board Ramsay's next picture. Hell, yeah. The story will follow Jane Hammond (Portman), a good girl married to one of the worst baddies in town. When her husband Bill turns against his own gang, the vicious Bishop Boys, and returns home barely alive with eight bullets in his back, Jane decides to grab a gun and take matters into her own hands. As the relentless leader John Bishop (Edgerton) gears up for revenge, Jane’s best hope for her family’s survival rests with her old love Dan Frost (Fassbender) – a gunslinger whose hatred for Bill is only slightly overshadowed by his love for Jane.
So, Ramsay taking on a the traditionally male driven genre with a female lead, in what sounds like a gritty as hell flick? Fuck yes. Production is gearing up with lensing aiming to start in early 2013, and let's hope that the director moves right into her "Moby Dick"-esque sci-fi project "Mobius" right after. It is really great to have Lynne Ramsay back. [Deadline]

The Deadline story you're using says something totally different about Edgerton's role. They say he's the leader of the bad guys coming to kill the husband.

This sounds fucking great, hope it actually comes out next year. Can't wait to see Natalie Portman in something good for a change, seems like its been a while, Black Swan was really overrated I thought (yeah I said it).

Read the script a year ago; it was excellent. Can't quite picture Portman in the lead role but Fass' and Edge' should do nicely.
