Just when you thought you'd amassed all the "Star Wars" merchandise, here’s yet another collector’s item to get excited about. Perhaps one of the more celebrated aspects of “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace” is composer John Williams’ epic score. When the original release of the soundtrack first came out, it actually wound up being certified platinum in the U.S. and Gold in the U.K. Now, the original soundtrack is getting a limited edition release on vinyl.

Thanks to independent label I Am Shark, the soundtrack will be released as a double LP In limited color versions, which will coordinate with different characters that appear in the movie. These include: Darth Maul (black with red/green stripe), Qui-Gon Jinn (green/brown marble), Obi-Wan Kenobi (blue), and Hyperdrive (black with white splatter). There will be 2000 copies of each color version pressed, while regular, black versions of the double LP will be available in regular print. This release will just be part one of three, as the other two films in the trilogy are expected to get similar treatment at some point in the near future.

The soundtrack will be released on March 4th. Full tracklist below along with a look at those color vinyl editions. [Soundtrack]
