Anyway, another new look of a pale faced, slick haired vampire Baranabas Collins has arrived. And yeah, being undead isn't so hot for your complexion. As you know, the movie is a Tim Burton directed adaptation of the cult ‘60s show that nobody remembers, that centers on the playboy Barnabas who breaks the heart of the witch Angelique Brouchard (Green) in 1752 and, in her fury, she turns him into a vampire and buries him alive. When he reawakens in 1972, he returns to Collinwood Manor to find his estate and family in ruins (but his hair is in immaculate condition).
The period and fantasy setting could either be great or allow Burton to indulge in his worst tendencies, but we'll see. The cast -- which includes Bella Heathcote, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Chloe Moretz and Jonny Lee Miller -- is pretty great, so we're staying optimistic. "Dark Shadows" hits on May 11th. [via STYD]
