Review: 'The Immigrant'Variety reports that Gad will play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak in the biopic, the man who created the Apple I computer and co-created the Apple II. Gad is typically cast in the obnoxious best friend role, and we can't see that trend changing much here as Wozniak, especially since the biopic is going to focus on Jobs' early years and the formation of Apple. Therefore, expect Gad to appear surreptitiously over Kutcher's shoulders at many opportune moments.
Written by newcomer Matt Whiteley, "Jobs" is scheduled to start production in May when Kutcher is on hiatus from "Two and a Half Men." Five Star Institute's Mark Hulme is financing the flick. Sony is also developing their own Jobs biopic based on Walter Issacson's biography "Steve Jobs," but outside of the studio's interest in having Aaron Sorkin ("The Social Network") to write the screenplay, no news about Sony's version has been announced. Should that project ever get off the ground, we suggest Charlie Sheen to play Jobs. Or Jon Cryer. Basically, anyone who has been or is currently on "Two and a Half Men."
