10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesThe film will see Chloe Moretz star in the titular role with Julianne Moore excitingly portraying her fundamentalist mother, Gabriella Wilde as classmate Sue, Ansel Elgort as Sue's boyfriend who takes Carrie to the prom, and "Chronicle" star Alex Russell as one of Carrie's bullies. Lensing on the project begins this summer for a March 15th release next year. Update: Deadline adds that "Youth In Revolt" star Portia Doubleday is also onboard in the role of bad girl Chris Hargensen. [BloodyDisgusting]
From "Saturday Night Live" to... an epic slavery drama? That's evidently the career path of Taran Killam who has now joined Steve McQueen's much anticipated "Twelve Years A Slave." He'll have the honor of playing a traveling showman who abducts the freed Solomon Northup and sells him into slavery. Chiwetel Ejiofor plays Northup and features alongside Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt and Paul Dano. Can't wait for this one. Shooting begins later this summer. [Deadline]
Character actor William Sadler will add some extra steel to the cast of Shane Black's "Iron Man 3." There's no word just yet on what exact role the actor will be taking on, but he seems to have been typecast as a villain throughout his career so we're not expecting anything too drastically different here. The jam-packed cast of the film already includes Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, James Badge Dale and Ashley Hamilton who all join returning stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwenyth Paltrow and Jon Favreau.
