    Wait, I'm seeing tweets that PTA did in fact win best director? Is this false? What a clusterfuck on info going around the interwebz

    It's been a complete mess, but it sounds like PTA did indeed win Best Director. It was originally announced that way, then it was said that they'd make a mistake, but the festival's website lists him as Best Director, and Seidl with the Jury Prize, so that seems as concrete as you could ask for.
