First, she loomed large as a potential lead” and last month was "in negotations." Now it's pretty much crossing the finish line as Deadline reports that producer Palek Patel has tweeted that Kristen Stewart is now in "final negotiations" to join "Snow White and the Huntsman." So yeah, at this point, she's in the damn film.

Written by Evan Daugherty, the script was high up on the 2010 Black List pages, and this new spin on the popular fairy tale sees the titular huntsman (Viggo Mortensen) being hired by the evil queen (Charlize Theron, no word yet if she's locked in considering she's also shooting "Prometheus") to track down her runaway stepdaughter, the fairest in all the land. When he realizes that the queen intends to kill Snow White, he helps her escape, and the pair go on the run. Apparently, the huntsman and Snow White will be chained together for a good portion of the film, and there is still a handsome prince who will win the fair lady’s heart.

Stewart beat out a number of contenders including Riley Keough, Felicity Jones and Alicia Vikander for the part. “Snow White and the Huntsman” is set to be directed by Rupert Sanders and the film is already slated for juicy holiday release of December 21, 2012.

So Snow White was really a chain smoking, underage drinking, cussing biach? I didn't realize this. How she she going to smile without breaking her face? God forbid she gives one of the dwarfs the finger! Rob Pattinson would play the part of Snow White better!

    No. Just no.

Actually, Kristen is also a great actress in the Twilight films as well... but you'd have to read the books to know this. Although Kristen portrays a feistier Bella, her facial expressions during specific scenes are spot on in regards to the book. As far as how she'll do in Snow White? She's an incredible actress - for she will do AWESOME. I expect there will always be the haters out there... but they are a minute minority as compared to all her fans. Kristen will be around for a very long time.

You can "court" more than one person. Especially in Hollywood.

If the Kristen-Mortensen-Theron combo can be attached to a good screenplay then this looks like a rocking combination. Definitely a top 2012 must see for me.

According to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline New York, Universal courted Kristen Stewart. She didn't have to audition so your line about her "beating out" the other actresses is inaccurate.

Kristen, Viggo, and Charlize in a movie I can take my kids to see. Excellent news.

Being released 2 days after The Hobbit? Good luck with that lol.

Stewart is going to get her ass-handed to her in the acting department by Viggo and Charlize. God its gonna be pathetic.

Good choices on the casting. When she's not doing Twilight movies, Kristen is a terrific actress, Charlize is always very solid and you cannot get much better than Viggo Mortenson.

Really excited for this. Huge fan of Mortenson and Stewart was very good in Adventureland and the Runaways. And Theron is perfect for this role. Great cast and nice twist on the original fairytale
