10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesMinogue and Arterton will star in "Walking On Sunshine," which is not a biopic on Katrina & The Waves. Instead, it tells the story of a mother and daughter who fall in love with the same man in Spain, all powered by songs of the '80s for some reason. And oh yeah, there will be dancing! The film comes from "Streetdance 3D" helmers by Max Giwa and Dania Pasquini (which isn't the most ringing of endorsements), while choreographer John O'Connell ("Moulin Rouge!," "Romeo + Julliet") will get the jazz hands going here.
As you might guess, this isn't up our alley at all and lord knows it sounds like it has the potential to be pretty garish. But Minogue fans and Moms will likely be excited. Pre-production is underway, and like everything else this week, it's being repped at AFM. [The Wrap]
