Leonardo DiCaprio Bringing 'Blood In The Snow' To The Big Screen

When is a book by celebrated, best-selling Norwegian crime writer Jo Nesbø not a book by Jo Nesbø? When it's written under his pen name Tom Johansson. It's under that name Nesbø that has a new book coming out next spring, titled "Blood In The Snow", and it's expected to be such a hit that the follow up is already slated for 2015. Naturally, the movie world wants a piece.

Enter Leonardo DiCaprio, who will produce and as per usual, possibly star in the big screen adaptation. His Appian Way shingle has taken the rights to the story that follows an assassin who falls for his boss' wife after being assigned to kill her. Aww. That's really all the details for now, but DiCaprio is getting on a train that is already building in steam in Hollywood, with a number of Nesbø adaptations cooking.

A remake of "Headhunters" is already brewing, while "The Snowman" is at Universal trying to find a director. But which of these gets made first is really up to the development gods. [Variety]
