10 Essential Cinematic Antiheroes
Along with "Young Adult" and "Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close," Clint Eastwood's "J. Edgar" is one of the few big remaining Oscar question marks for this year's awards season. And while the film penned by “Milk” screenwriter Dustin Lance Black boasts a solid ensemble supporting cast that includes Armie Hammer, Naomi Watts, Ed Westwick, Damon Herriman, Judi Dench, Ken Howard, Jeffrey Donovan and Stephen Root, these first posters make it very clear who the spotlight will be on.
Leonardo DiCaprio will be looking for his fourth Oscar nomination, taking on the titular role in the film that is a decades-spanning look at the life of the controversial head of the FBI. The handsomely put together trailer certainly teases a film that is more epic in scope that we might have originally envisioned, and the make up department worked pretty hard to age up DiCaprio who will be playing Hoover right through his elderly years, gray hair, sagging skin and all (sorry ladies).
"J. Edgar" will premiere at AFI Fest, where it has the opening night gala slot on November 3rd. It will then open in theaters less than week later on November 9th. Check out the new posters below. [via Rope Of Silicon]

I dig the second, more graphic one. I hope the film is as cool.

Every blooming DiCap film has his massive bonce dominating the poster. Every one. Is it in the contract before he signs up?

"Give me an Oscar, look how much I'm trying to act serious"!

Pretty sure William Forrester is a psychopath because he hasn't seen the movie and yet he keeps calling it an "incredible performance." Must be a stream teamer.

He looks like he's going "KHAAAAAAAAAN!" Or I guess in this case it'd be "KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!"

Who are you William Forrester, and why do you spam the same thing everytime there's an article on Leo?
Anyway, poster is better than the trailer. Still have my reservations, but I'm about to read the script which is apparently aces so we'll see..

I think Leonardo will surely get a nomination for an Academy Award at least. He is incredible and he is amazing. And I think he will get it. It’s an incredible performance, just wonderful.
