10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesLike it or not, the Sam Raimi produced remake of his own seminal "Evil Dead" is happening and Bloody Disgusting report that Collins in the first one in the cabin. The script was punched up by Diablo Cody, and the story will follow five friends who hang together in a remote cabin, until they each have to fight for survival when a demonic force is unleashed thanks the Book Of The Dead they stumble across. Sound familiar? Well, the horror site also reports that there will be a drug subplot and Collins will take the role of Mia (apparently the female Ash of this movie), who is heading out to the woods to detox. When shit starts getting real, her friends don't immediately believe her. As for the rest of the parts to be cast there's David (a mechanic) who is engaged to Natalie; Olivia (Mia's best friend/nurse) and Eric.
Fede Alvarez is directing the movie which is gearing up to shoot in New Zealand in March. Mark your calendars, "Evil Dead" will scare the shit out of you on April 2, 2013.
