"You want to hear a little bit about what's coming up?" Marvel chief Kevin Feige teased. "The first one, we're halfway through now, is 'Iron Man 3.' " Before audiences could complain he was stating the obvious, the studio launched into the real meat of their phase two plan.
The sequel to "Thor" has been given the title, "'Thor: The Dark World." As previously revealed, it's being directed by Alan Taylor (known for directing several key eps of "Game Of Thrones") and it arrives in theaters on November 8, 2013. Captain America enthusiasts will be thrilled with the teasing title of its second picture, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," a storyline fans know will center on Bucky Barnes, played by Sebastian Stan, thought to have been killed in "Captain America: The First Avenger." Directed by comedy filmmakers Anthony and Joe Russo (thus far anyway) 'Winter Soldier' arrives in theaters on April 4, 2014.
Finally, Marvel confirmed the recently leaked rumors. "Guardians Of The Galaxy" will be their August 1, 2014 release. The characters confirmed for the film include Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Gamora and Drax. Edgar Wright's "Ant-Man" was also officially announced, and you can read more about that here. - Reporting by Jeff Otto
