10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesFirst off, continuing their list of home video exclusive short films, the twelve minute "Item 47" is on the way. Set to be unveiled on the DVD/Blu-ray release of "The Avengers," the story centers on a down-on-their-luck couple (Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford) who stumble across the alien guns left behind in the aftermath of "The Avengers," and decide to do some bad things. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents (Maximiliano Hernández and Titus Welliver) are tasked with tracking down Benny and Claire before they do more damage. If you're at Comic-Con, Marvel will be screening the short on Friday night and even more, will be handing out this pretty swag-looking poster to lucky attendees.
Meanwhile, on September 25th you'll have a decision to make: buy "The Avengers" or the fancy-pants Marvel Phase One Blu-Ray boxset instead. The latter will contain every Marvel movie from "Iron Man" up until "The Avengers," along with some pretty nice exclusive artwork for each movie and your own Tesseract, with all of this housed in a replica of Nick Fury's briefcase. If you already own the movies, this is kind of useless, but if not, it's a pretty good way to get them all in one place. Poster along with details and images of the Phase One set below. [EW/MTV]

I don't own any of the these movies so this box set is really tempting. Plus I'm digging the artwork. I'd feel like shit buying this though when I could put that money towards the Hitchcock or Bond box sets.
