The first trailer came out Wednesday and now six character posters have been revealed for this summer’s “Kick-Ass 2.” We get a glimpse at new characters Night Bitch (played by Lindy Booth), Black Death (Daniel Kaluuya), and the revised name/costume for the Mother Fucker, formerly Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). There’s also posters for our titular hero (Aaron Johnson) and fan favorite Hit Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz).

There’s also posters for our titular hero (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and fan favorite Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz).

Coming out August 16th, “Kick-Ass 2” is directed by Jeff Wadlow and again follows the adventures of superhero Kick-Ass as he attempts to destroy his arch-enemy Red Mist. This time, he’ll be aided by a cabal of self-made heroes, including Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), who vow to destroy Red Mist once and for all.

Each poster isn’t particularly complex, simply presenting an extreme close-up of everyone’s face, so expect to see a full-cast poster eventually. There isn’t a poster included for Carrey’s Colonel Stars and Stripes, who was seen in the trailer, which raises eyebrows. Carrey’s casting was big news back in September and for all we know there could be another round of character posters out next week with him being the headliner. [via ComingSoon]
