"I've been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox," Thompson said, while adding, "It's a very serious selection. It's like casting for Hollywood royalty."
Of course, sources tell E! that Lohan's probation and general unpredictable nature make casting her "a complication" even though she's apparently a frontrunner. And frankly, we just don't see Megan Fox -- who is trying desperately to break out of the "Transformers" box with roles in the upcoming "Friends With Kids" and "This Is 40" -- backsliding into what will likely be a pretty tawdry TV movie. Bear in mind, this is the same network unveiling the Rob Lowe starring "Drew Peterson: Untouchable" movie in about a week.
But hey, it makes for good hype, even if the eventual lead will probably be someone in the B or C-list range. Production is gearing up to start this spring in Canada.

The title is actually pretty awesome, verging on brilliant. Especially when you consider it's a Lifetime movie. Why not embrace trashy melodrama instead of pretending you're making great art?
