Michael Fassbender Goes Gangster In 'Trespass Against Us,' Chemical Brothers To Score The Film

There's little sense in trying to stop the Michael Fassbender train—you roll with it or get the hell out of the way. Closing off 2013 with two movies in theaters, "The Counselor" and "12 Years A Slave," Fassy isn't spending a moment putting his feet up. He's already in production on the western "Slow West," he'll kick off the new year by shooting "Macbeth" and then there is little superhero movie you might have heard about called "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" opening next spring. And now? Dude is going gangster.

The actor has boarded the ominously named gangster film "Trespass Against Us." Announced as part of Film4's development slate earlier this year, the project comes from Adam Smith, a director mostly known for his TV work ("Skins," "Doctor Who") and it tells the story of Chad Cutler (Fassbender), who belongs to an outlaw clan running three generations deep in the traveler community, who are constantly clashing with police. But things get sticky in this father/son tale when Chad wants out of the family business and traditions.

Adding to the intrigue of this project is the news that Chemical Brothers will be contributing an original score to the picture. Their connection likely comes from their relationship with Smith who directed their concert flick, "The Chemical Brothers: Don't Think." It sounds like a promising film and production is slated to start on the crime/action/comedy flick in the U.K. next year. [Variety/Screendaily]
