While the big must-see movie of July is "The Dark Knight Rises," one week before Batman returns, geeks will be getting in a froth at Comic-Con, the annual San Diego shindig that offers up a bounty of genre/fantasy/action fare as the studios show off their baubles, with presentations that they hope will help boost box office dollars. And with less than a week to go, two of the biggest movies, by two of the biggest Comic-Con faves, are prepping to be on the convention floor and starting to build up buzz, with posters now landing for both.

First up, Peter Jackson -- who recently wrapped 266 days of principal photography on "The Hobbit" movies -- will be on hand to showcase what he's been cooking up in New Zealand. A new poster for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" has dropped, with Gandalf taking a little bit of a stroll in the midst of some pristine countryside. It speaks to the familiarity of J.R.R. Tolkien's books and Jackson's movies that the one-sheet can keep all the fantasy elements at bay and still be effective. Will Jackson try to sell the 48fps deal again? Will a new trailer arrive? "The poster seems to give a close-up look at the full suits the characters will be wearing"??? You're kidding right? That's one huge-ass robot that the characters will be piloting. You can see the, all tiny, standing in its shoulder.
