Milla Jovovich Does Her Thing In New Pics From 'Resident Evil: Retribution'

The success of the “Resident Evil” franchise should come as a surprise to no one. When Paul W.S. Anderson’s first film arrived in 2002 it already had its winning formula in place, which essentially boils down to Milla Jovovich in a tight outfit brandishing weapons against a horde of mindless zombie/thingies/cannon fodder in slow motion. Over the series more CGI was used, with the quality somehow never increasing, and 3D was added. This September sees the release of the fifth film, “Resident Evil: Retribution,” and we have nine new images from the film.

There’s really nothing of note happening in the pictures, other than the various leads, including the always ill-fated Michelle Rodriguez and Kevin Durand holding rifles and looking serious. At this point there’s not a damn thing you or we can do about stopping this franchise. The money train just keeps on going, so check out the pics below and this is your bag, the movie opens September 14th. [Collider]
