10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesReteaming Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, this big screen version of the cult TV show will be balancing a lot of disparate elements, but so far it looks like they are both bringing their A-game. EW has unveiled more new images for the film, giving us a closer look at all involved, but more importantly previewing the long expected by cameo by Alice Cooper. The rest are mostly further looks at Depp's Barnabas Collins both looking fierce and at times out of sorts with the '70s surroundings the newly revived vampire has found himself in.
Co-starring Eva Green, Chloe Moretz, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bella Heathcote, Jonny Lee Miller and Jackie Earle Haley, "Dark Shadows" opens on May 11th. Take a look at the new pics and many more from the film below.

Saw this last night - while I'd agree with you that Tim Burton does bring his A-game (the camera setups are bold and confident, he seems engaged in the material), the script is a bit of a mishmash. A number of funny moments, but also a number of digressions that are either unmotivated or unresolved. On some level I can appreciate that they were trying to spoof soap-opera plotting, but it doesn't quite achieve that balance you're hoping for.

Awesome! Can't wait for this. Classic 'Dark Shadows' and Alice Cooper the topper! Go Johnny! http://FilmBudget.com
