Well, the first trailer for "The Great Gatsby" arrived earlier this week and it proved two things: 1) there seems to be no limit to where Kanye West and Jay-Z's "No Church In The Wild" can be used, and 2) for better or worse, this movie is a Baz Luhrmann film all the way.

However you feel about F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic American novel being backed by autotune and HYPE BEATZ, there's no denying it looks gorgeous at the very least, and the leads all appear to be at the top of their game. And while the jury is still out on the movie itself, until it screens we'll have to glean what we can from various snaps from the film, including this latest featuring Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby and Carey Mulligan as the object of his eye, Daisy Buchanan. And yes, they look fabulous, but god knows if this scene has LMFAO or a Tiesto remix of a Patsy Cline song behind it or something. The music is going to make or break this we think, but Luhrmann has gone down this road with great success in the past, so we'll see.

Rocking your eyesockets in 3D, "The Great Gatsby" opens on Christmas Day. [Collider via Facebook]
