Anchorman: The Legend Continues

Three different movies, three different sets of expectations, but also three interesting markers on the fall calendar. Whether you're ready to laugh, cry or perhaps do both, here are some new images from some flicks that might make you do all three.

First up, Ron Burgundy sports some fresh '80s duds in new snaps from "Anchorman: The Legend Continues." Reunited with this team and now working for GNN, Ron is navigating the territory of a bigger market, changing social dynamics and constantly breaking stories. Whether or not he and Veronica Corningstone will be married on top of a mountain, with flutes playing and trombones and flowers and garlands of fresh herbs remains to be seen, but we hope we're invited. The legend is back on December 20th.

Next is "Prisoners," one of two team-ups from director Denis Villeneuve and actor Jake Gyllenhaal (the other is "Enemy," and both are premiering at TIFF next month). This one is based on a highly prized Black List and focuses on the repercussions among the parents of two girls who go missing. The cast on this one is stacked—Hugh Jackman, Paul Dano, Terrence Howard, Melissa Leo, Viola Davis and Maria Bello round it out—and it's one we're definitely looking forward to. The flick arrives on September 20th.

Lastly, in Sylvester Stallone's quest to act with everyone mildly and/or totally famous who is close to his age, later this year he teams with Robert De Niro for "Grudge Match." The sports comedy will find the pair playing aging pugilists who come out of retirement to fight each other. Hilarious! It arrives on Christmas Day.
