While it’s nearly a month away from release in South Korea, the Bong Joon-Ho-helmed adaptation of “Snowpiercer” is still without a release date in North America despite being picked up by The Weinstein Company last fall. We’ve already seen the first trailer for the film and now we have a bunch of new images that give us a better look at the ambitious post-apocalyptic film.

Filled out with a talented cast -- Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, John Hurt, Alison Pill, Octavia Spencer, Ewen Bremner and Song Kang-ho -- the film takes place in a future where an ice age has killed off nearly all life on the planet and the survivors live on a massive train that travels around the planet. A class system takes hold and tensions rise until they breed a revolution. So yeah, you can see why we're excited.

Check out the stills -- including Swinton in some sweet fur -- below. “Snowpiercer” hits theaters in South Korea on August 1st. [Bleeding Cool]
