10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesAs such, EW's annual summer movie preview issue has landed, and there's new images from all kinds of big movies included. As you might imagine, it's action heavy stuff, with new stills of Jeremy Renner in "The Bourne Legacy"; Arnie; Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone finally kicking ass together in "The Expendables 2"; Dwayne Johnson firing away in "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" and Benjamin Walker all getting his fight on in "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter." But there's also lashing of comedy: Johnny Depp brushing his teeth in "Dark Shadows"; Meryl Streep in "Hope Springs"; Will Smith in "Men In Black 3" and the casts of "Neighborhood Watch" and "Moonrise Kingdom." So there's something for everyone!
As usual, the magazine, which is on newsstands now, is good stuff, and should be picked up forthwith. "Dark Shadows" is the first in theaters, on May 11th, with "Men In Black 3" and "Moonrise Kingdom" coming on the 25th of the same month; "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" hunting vampires June 22nd; "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" retaliating on June 29th; "Neighborhood Watch" watching neighborhoods on July 27th; "The Bourne Legacy" duking it out on August 3rd; "Hope Springs" springing hope on August 10th and "The Expendables 2" having their dinner at 4.30 on August 17th. Arnold looks sooo OLD. Sure he is a national treasure and institution, and I pay him all due respect and homage, but MY GOD, WHY WON'T HOLLYWOOD GIVE US A NEW GENERATION OF ACTION STARS?! Why does Hollywood hate YOUNG FANS so much?! Does every one of these pictures feature a star over the age 40? Hell most of them feature stars over the age of 50! When did senior citizens become the new desired demo?
