Over the next six months, two movies will be bringing you enough creatures big and small, good and bad to fill a year's worth of tentpoles. But Peter Jackson and Bryan Singer are going big or going home for these latest sequels, and more new pics have arrived to zap your eyeballs into submission.

On this page, you'll get to see a strong handful of new images from "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," with a hat tip to EW. You can check out more look snaps of Orlando Bloom and Evangeline Lilly, who seem to be the most prominent additions to this trilogy (obviously, Legolas was a lead in 'LOTR'). And there's Luke Evans too, doing his thing as Bard The Bowman.

Meanwhile, you can flip to page two to see Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult do their thing as Magneto and Beast in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." So far, this movie is being sold on the simple fact of quantity equaling quality, so we'll be curious to see how this won't be a constant cameo fest for two hours. But let's hope the story is great and the blending of two generations of mutants works out well.

'Smaug' blows fire on December 13th while 'Future Past' gets current on May 23, 2014.
