10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesWell, to make that wait a bit more bearable, Warner Bros. has dropped a small handful of new images (along with a few from Hero Complex) giving us new looks at Catwoman, Jim Gordon, Lucius Fox, John Blake and Miranda Tate in the film. It's also pretty nice to see a shot of Christopher Nolan himself obsessively drawing those chalk Batman signals on a wall. And while details about the movie have, of course, been kept secret, Nolan tells Hero Complex that he views the trilogy in architectural terms of sorts: "Batman Begins" presents the heights of the city, "The Dark Knight" the street level, and "The Dark Knight Rises" goes underground.
“We really wanted a cast of thousands, literally, and all of that for me is trying to represent the world in primarily visual and architectural terms,” Nolan said. “So the thematic idea is that the superficial positivity is being eaten away from underneath; we tried to make that quite literal.” He also adds what we all know by now: the finale is “a unified statement, a real ending, a true conclusion.”
"The Dark Knight Rises" opens July 20th. We can't wait.

I read a few years ago that Nolan likes to wear a button-down shirt and sport coat while filming because it helps him focus and feel like he's "at work." He also doesn't like having to think about what he's wearing every morning, so he just wears the same thing.

Has Christopher Nolan ever heard of a t-shirt?
